Best Gaming Computer

What up gamers!  Lets start with less QQ and stepping up our game.  I love hearing people talk it up about their PK skillz, but is it all just skillz?  Come on…I honestly believe it it is about 30% Skillz, 60% best gaming computer, and 10% luck/lag!

Bottom line is playing your game on the best gaming computer will increase your game like a turbine engine does a jet over a propeller plane.  The problem is, who has the time to review all the best gaming PC websites, hope the review is true, and then spend the $$’s!

No one has that type of time, so I figure I just make one stop shop, for a true gamer’s review of the best gaming computer.

I gonna be checking in on the best gaming computer, parts, accessories, and everything a hardcore gamer needs to game.

I also wanna hear from the gamer’s out there a no bullshit review of all the above stuff comment on my reviews and junk.

Building Gaming Computer (Desktop) 1500$ max?

Im having a freind build me a Desktop gaming computer since my old dell that i was fine with broke down, over payed for it, 600 bucks 2 years ago, ripped off by a local computer store and im not sure why i bought it lol, Can anyone here give me links to a bunch of parts i can buy off a site or from a store? Main things i want is a desktop that i will never have a issue with, with main specs that include, 1tb harddrive, Possibly ati radeon 5970 4g or 2g if thats too much, or if you guys think its better, ati radeon 5870 crossfire (dual 2 cards) and at least 12g of ram, My main computer was a old 2004 dell laptop with 149gb harddrive and quadro fx 1400 lol.. ide like to run everything at max probely a few years into the future like 2015?

if anyone deicides to help, Go ahead and go a few `100 dollars over like 1700 Max on the dollars since i dont feel like putting alot of my new car money on a desktop computer although i would be using it Alot :) Links and possibly a small reason why you recomend, Thanks!

I intend to mostly use New egg, unless theres better els where like fryz located in oregon.

Havent been to Impressed by Geforce latley, Though if you guys can provide links to bench marks if you end up recomending a geforce card(s) would be appreciated but from what ive seen the ati radeon cards look better

(This will be in a full case, already picked it out but if u have one u like feel free to link it)
Thanks for the comments so far, Not sure on the monitor, i have a couple lcd dell monitors 19-22 in in size, I like that kingston stats, 1800mhz 6gb, might go for 8 if its not one of thows strict kits where you cant add more, + That would leave alot more money for a graghics card. Also i do intend to buy a new screen, no point in having some half decade old lcd screens with a bomb computer right lol, If you guys got any recomendations throw em at me, looking for 160 or lower on the screen, probely around 120 unless it has some amazing specs like 2ms, anyone els with hardware recomendations please tell
Thanks for the info guys im loving this information, so much to choose from and then so many ways to go like the comment bellow (2 of the older radeons have the same or higher power of 1 5970, and the higher mhz ram sticks when i was considering cheaper 12 sticks with less mhz that would be kind of a waist of budjet.. reading what you guys have put down after im done typing this.

Why not just use a site like iBuypower. I did. They sent me the CDs and Boxes for some of my parts.

Right now I wouldn’t bother getting more then 6 gigs of memory. I run more then one game at a time and still I don’t use 6 gigs of memory. I was reading junk and the Nvidia Geforce have been sucking because their company has been busy working on stupid things and junk for other companies. So Ati Radeon comes out better, with more compatible cards, and with great improvements and moves in the right direction for technology.

You’ll have to research the Motherboards to make sure they will upgrade to 24 gigs ram in the future. You will want to have cooling systems for your Graphics/Video card and your Processor. Make sure the case is well ventilated with alot of air flow ( good and many fans). If you decide to get the V8 for your Processor.. it’s very big so you won’t be able to have a fan on the side and you will need a big case ( the companies don’t communicate with you).

I’d try to get a Quad Core or Oct Core i5 or i7 because they can handle DDR5 Graphics/Video cards just fine.

You won’t get 5 years use out of your computer if you are a heavy gamer. If you don’t cool the thing properly then it will die out in months. If you don’t put alot of effort into cooling your computer and aren’t a heavy gamer then you might get a couple years. I’d expect atleast three years if you do proper cooling. 5 Years if you don’t mind replacing parts as they go bad a couple of times. Like I said, make sure you can get the RAM to atleast 24 gigs one day, though, on the Motherboard. You never know when the Memory required will suddenly shoot up with Computers, Software, and OS.

Can anyone recommend a good gaming desktop computer for under $1000?

I’d prefer atleast an i5 processor, 2-4 gig ram, pretty good graphics card.
I play mainly lower demanding graphics games such as Team Fortress 2.

my Best bet is to build a computer. It really isnt that hard. It just takes a bit of time. Its WAYY cheaper than buying a already pre made computer online.

Wanting To build Gaming Desktop Computer?

How much do i need to spend to build a gaming desktop computer, to run up to date game now, and in the future. (modern warfare 2, crysis, battle field bad company 2, etc.)

What parts do u recommend, what all would i need to make a great custom build gaming computer.

i would like to spend around $800-$1200 is that possible for a good desktop gaming computer

There are questions you need to ask yourself first. Will you use this computer for anything other than gaming, do you care if its nVidia or ATI? Intel or AMD, are you sure you know the answer to those questions? ha ha. Tell ya what, some buddies and I try to help people out with this. Here is a site dedicated to helping people choose the correct components and build a system they can be proud of. Every skill level is welcome: http://core-authority.com/phpBB3/index.php

You can spend any amount. I built mine for $850, but now i have to upgrade the GPU (trying to push Hulu to 50inch plasma). I bet you will spend closer to $1200 after possible tax and shipping.

Come on in, look around. ask your questions in the hardware>>build section! Take in some of the tips (like use google shopping or bing shopping to get better pricing.), and I am certain you will end up with a great system.

How much would a decent gaming desktop computer rig cost?

Preferable specifications:
————————————————————————–
RAM: 4 GB

GHz: 2.7 GHz dual core (prefferably 2.6-2.7 GHz quad core)

Graphics card: Any graphics card that can run any game to date at medium-high graphics settings
————————————————————————————
Monitor, keyboard and mouse are already covered.

Given the specifications above, how much would the computer cost?

Thanks.

At least 300+. Your not offering any details about hard drive or CD drives so I’m not going to nail down a better estimate.
