A Good Gaming Desktop Computer?
I want a good Gaming desktop computer for playing games like Halo 1,2, and 3 and WoW and runescape. Also I want to make AMV’s on this desktop. Stuff like that. I don’t know much about buying/good computers though i’m good at using them. If you guys could suggests some good companies (specific computers if you know one)
I have considered building my own. But i’m 14 and i dont no anything about that stuff. But if you know a good book on building computers (easy to read/understand) thats greatly helpful.
Can you please be specific about what RAM and graphics card i should get? other stuff like that cause i have no idea what to get.

and these guys can walk you through a computer build.
You basically get ripped off if you buy a computer off of the store shelf.
The guys who built my computer used this site as a reference.
Decide on a budget, do a theoretical build, and post it on this forum for it to be critiqued. They won’t steer you wrong, and you’ll get a far bigger bang for your buck.

During the economic downturn you will get a much better and cheaper computer if you build it yourself. Its very easy to build a desktop just check online first and make sure your parts are compatible

Four things. The motherboard ,processor, memory, and video card determine how good the PC will play games. You want the fastest processor you can afford. Triple or quad core processor if you can affodr it.The processor will not be as fast as it can be without sufficient memory. For gaming using Vista 2Gb is minimum and 4or6 Gb is much better. Video card, Radeon or GeForce are both good with at least 512 Mb video memory. Motherboard, if you buy major brand the mother board will be fine but if you decide to build yourself make sure the motherboard is designed for the processor, memory and video card you use. All major brands are good. Acer,Gateway,Systemax,HP,Alienware.
