What is the best gaming computer (desktop/laptop) under $1000?
my Best bet is to build a computer. It really isnt that hard. It just takes a bit of time. Its WAYY cheaper than buying a already pre made computer online.
If you relaly want a fairly decent gaming comp without the hassle of building it try this computer:

"Best" is relative. And for only $1000, you’re pretty much looking at "mediocre" anyway. "Good" gaming computers start at around $1000 and go up to several thousands of dollars.
I might recommend the Gateway FX series if you’re on a budget though. http://www.bestbuy.com/site/olspage.jsp?skuId=8891684&st=Gateway+FX&lp=4&type=product&cp=1&id=1214611180474
You can also check out iBuyPower.com and see what deals they have.
Generally speaking, you get more bang for your buck (performance-wise) with at Desktops so if it’s going to be a strictly gaming machine, that’s the route I would go.
